South African Department of Science and Innovation Delegation Visits BGRIMM Group

On March 17, a delegation led by Cecil Masoka, Chief Director of Bilateral Cooperation at the South African Department of Science and Innovation, visited the R&D Center of BGRIMM Technology Group.

Han Long, Chairman of BGRIMM Group, warmly welcomed the delegation. He highlighted the fruitful outcomes of BGRIMM’s scientific collaboration with South Africa, laying a solid foundation for bilateral innovation and industrial partnership. Han emphasized the need to deepen cooperation in joint research, platform development, and industrial synergy to usher in a new chapter for mineral resource cooperation between the two nations.

Cecil Masoka praised BGRIMM’s industry-leading technological capabilities. He noted that as BRICS partners, China and South Africa have achieved substantial results under the Belt and Road Initiative. He expressed hope that BGRIMM would leverage its strengths to support South Africa’s development of critical battery mineral resources and industrial chain construction.

During the visit, both sides exchanged in-depth views on mineral resource utilization and new energy materials. They reached consensus on advancing future cooperation. The delegation toured BGRIMM’s exhibition hall and key laboratories, further deepening mutual understanding and opening broad prospects for future collaboration.
