On 21-23 April 2015, the first workshop of phase II BGRIMM-UCT-UL collaborative research program was successfully held at BGRIMM, Beijing. Delegates from South Africa included Prof. Cyril O’Connor, Prof. Dave Deglon, Dr.Jenny Wiese and Dr. Belinda McFadzean from UCT, Prof. Phuti Ngoepe from UL, and Llanley Simpson from DST. Delegates from BGRIMM included Han Long, vice president of BGRIMM, Sun Chuanyao, academician of CAE, and other research staff of BGRIMM. During the workshop, the two sides reviewed the technical outcomes of phase I and discussed on development of Phase II proposals. Both sides attached high importance to the program and promised to make effort to step up mutual collaboration in mineral processing and mining sector.
