On 9 May 2015, the commissioning of the additional SX-EW facility in Kazakhstan kicked off after completion of construction work, followed by the first output of 13t copper cathodes with copper content at 99.995% on 14 May. BGRIMM, as the EPS provider successfully upgraded the plant capacity to a rate of 15,000 tonnes copper per annum ahead of schedule, and won high recognition of the owner. The implementation of the project enhances BGRIMM’s global standing in the Central Asia region and sharpens its competence in SX-EW technology and engineering.
